Team: Victor Leung, Naichun Cheng (MIT) If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
The classic metaphysical conundrum of whether reality exists without an observer inspired “SPLASH”. Splash is a painting robot that monitors its surroundings with a LIDAR sensor and paints the positions of the visitors who observe it using a calligraphy brush.
This project was developed as a part of a 72-hour competition together with Victor Leung and Naichun Chen. I worked on concept development and microcontroller programming and assisted Victor in assembling the robot.
